How does the service work?
I will first meet with you in your home to learn more about your food preferences, your likes & dislikes along with any health & dietary needs that you may have. A personalized menu will be developed & a cook date will be scheduled. I will shop for all the necessary ingredients & arrive at your home on the scheduled cooking day with cookware & equipment needed to complete your meals. Your food will be packaged & labeled for the refrigerator and/or freezer along with complete heating instructions ~ what could be more convenient?
Who can use a Personal Chef?
Grocery shopping for selected meals is generally done at area supermarkets, specialty shops & health food stores. If you have a particular preference or favorite store ~ I will gladly shop there. Groceries are not included in service fees so that you have the option to request such items as organic produce or chicken, aged beef or other specialty food items. Just let me know what you prefer & I'll do the shopping!
How are the meals packaged?
Meals will be packaged in freezable/microwavable containers or freezer bags. Meals are usually packaged in two serving sizes but they can be packaged family style or individual servings if you prefer. Pricing for service does not include containers. Appropriate containers will be purchased and added to the cost of groceries. You can choose either to reuse them or use disposables for each service. Packaging options will be discussed at your initial assessment.
What type of meals will be prepared?
That's completely up to you! Whether you enjoy gourmet fare or home style favorites ~ the choice is yours! Your Personal Chef can customize any meal to meet your specific health or dietary needs. Allergic to wheat? No problem. Hate cauliflower? No problem.
This is YOUR personal chef service. So whether it's Coq Au Vin or Chicken Pot Pie ~ menu choices can be as elegant or as simple as you'd like plus there are hundreds of items to choose from including any of your own favorites.
Where do you shop?
Yes! Gift certificates are a wonderful way to say "thank you" or "I love you" and are perfect for any occasion. When you give a gift of a personal chef service, you'll give a gift that special someone can really use ~ convenience, extra time & delicious home cooked meals!
